Chris Moreland

Chris is a Partner and Speaker at Diversity Crew. Previously, Chris served as the Chief Diversity Officer of Vizient, a major healthcare organization. At Vizient, Chris created the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, chaired a committee of healthcare Chief Diversity Officers, was called upon to keynote as an equity and inclusion expert, and advised the CEO on all corporate diversity and inclusion matters.

Prior to creating the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, Chris was the SVP of Business Operations, where he created the organization’s first Commercial Team, which subsequently exceeded plans for the next five consecutive years. Chris has held multiple senior executive roles over the past 20+ years, with reputable companies such as the General Electric Corporation, Johnson & Johnson, Pepsi, Mobil, Expedia and Microsoft.

Chris spends much of his free time volunteering with non-profit organizations such as Integrity Mentors. He also consults with the local Community Base Hospital, Parkland Center for Clinical Innovation (PCCI), and is an active board member of both the International Leadership of Texas Charter Schools, and CourMed Inc.

Chris received a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from the United States Air Force Academy, a Master’s in Business Administration from Central Michigan University, Certificate of Inclusion and Diversity from Cornell University and a DEI Certification from Diversity Crew Institute. He is a certified Master Black Belt, native of Cleveland, Ohio and enjoys cycling, reading, and spending time with his family. Chris is married, has four children, and currently resides in Dallas, Texas. Chris’s first book “Blind Attraction to Certainty” was released in April of 2022.
